Explain.ly is a (hypothetical) outdoors and recreation company looking to make a fun 3D animation for their IG to create some interest and invite people to visit their website. They provided style frames and some audio but needed a motion designer to bring their design boards to life.
Step One:
Make an animatic using the designs and audio they provided. This way we hone in on the timing and cadence of the shots.
Step Two:
Create a mood board with the input of the client so to pin down an aesthetic that matches their vision.
Step Three:
At this point I have a clear idea of what my client wants and it's time to get to work in Cinema 4D. I use Redshift as my renderer for better results, and I export my passes for the compositing stage which will be done in After Effects.
